NOTD 1.2 Breakin out the Blues

Hey loveys. Lets hear a huge hurray for the change in the nail polish season! It's finally almost appropraite to break your old dark colored nail polishes as it gets colder out. Just in time too. I was getting so sick of bright colorful ones! Here is the color I'm rocking today!

This is Zoyas "Cynthia" polish from their latest collection. It's described as a "A smoky, blackened peacock teal with soft warm undertones."  I love the color, but I honestly dislike Zoyas formula. It always chips so fast on me! For example I have had this on for a day, and its already chipped! I dont mind redoing my nails, so it doesn't bother me to much. But for those who may not have time to redo a mani, this can be quite annoying!

  2. Thats a really pretty color! I kind of give up on painting my nails because it chips so fast. When you find the perfect brand let me know!

  3. One of the reasons that Zoya can chip a lot for some people is that they use a lot of "natural/vegan" ingredients and if you use certain base or top coats that have the ingredient called CELLULOSE ACETATE BUTYRATE. "Any base coats containing it will prevent their polish from adhering and top coats with the ingredient must be carefully formulated to work with Zoya lacquer. Any guesses what ingredient is in the majority of quick dry top coats?? Ding, ding ding!!"

Here's an article on it and where I got that info:
